TheThe course objective is to prepare students for license and employment in barbering related careers.  To refresh knowledge and skills to barbers.   This course requires instruction in combined theory and practical application.  The Milady curriculum provides theory instruction in general science, hair beautification, haircutting, chemical application, shaving, manicuring, massage, facials, skin care, and salon readiness.  It is taught using multiple teaching methods for various learning styles including lecture, games and activities, video presentations and guest speakers.   Academic learning is elevated after each unit of study.   Practical assignments are evaluated periodically throughout the course of study.  At the end of each evaluation period, a student must have achieved an overall minimum passing grade of 75% or better, based upon written test and performance in practical and demonstration experience.
